About Education Law & Student Advocacy
Why I Fight for Every Child’s Right
Forty years in the Delhi High Court and Supreme Court have shown me how schools block kids from what’s theirs by law. I’m Ashok Agarwal, and this fight is personal - I see kids denied their haq (right) to education every single day, and I won’t stop calling out this shoshan (exploitation).
Common School Problems I Take On
- Admission denied for lack of Aadhaar or birth certificate? Or because your child is from EWS or has a disability?
- School forcing your child out after failing Class 9 or 11? Refusing re-admission and pushing TC (Transfer Certificate)?
- Private school holding TC over fee disputes? That’s illegal.
If you’re seeing these issues, remember: the law is on your side. I’ve taken on countless Delhi High Court education cases where schools break rules. School admission rights in India are not a favour, they’re a guarantee.
My Way of Working
- First, I talk straight to schools. Sometimes, that’s all it takes.
- If not, I send a legal notice. Still stuck? I file a yachika (petition) in court.
- I also go public with these fights as AIPA President - building pressure for real change.
Beyond Individual Fights
I push for extending free RTE (Right to Education Act advocacy) up to Class 12 for EWS students, better regulation of private school fees, improved infrastructure in government schools, and protection of teachers’ rights.
Real Talk for Parents
Daro nahi (don’t be afraid). Ladoge tabhi toh milega (only by fighting you get what’s yours). I’m here to stand with you, not just in court but in every step of the ladai (fight).

My Story
Dekhiye, 40 saal ho gaye Delhi High Court mein vakaalat karte hue. Log mujhe social jurist kehte hain, par main toh seedha-saadha aadmi hoon, bastiyon mein jaake bachchon se milne wala. Zaib jaise bachche, ration ki dukaan pe kaam karte hue, unki aankhon mein sapne dekh kar hi toh meri ladai hai. All India Parents Association ka president hoon, ab rajneeti bhi join ki hai - system ke andar rehkar hi kuch badal sakte hain. Ghar pe 'Baba Pig' banna padta hai apni poti ke liye. Par asli maksad? Kamzor ki awaaz banna.
My Work
Public Interest Litigation aur Legal Aid - Delhi High Court aur Supreme Court mein PILs karta hoon, khaaskar free EWS hospital treatment Delhi, right to education, aur mazdooron ke liye.
School Admission aur TC Issues - Agar school admission mana kare ya TC na de, main court se aapki madad karta hoon. School TC rok nahi sakte, ye illegal hai.
Mazdooron ke Haq ki Ladai - Contract, ad-hoc, ya casual workers ke liye equal pay for contract workers ki legal fight karta hoon. Anganwadi workers ke saath bhi khada hoon.
