Effective Acne Treatment & Scar Revision
Stop guessing with trending skincare. Let's get to the root of your breakouts and treat your scars with science, not trends.
This is the result of a personalized acne scar treatment plan combining Microneedling Radiofrequency (MNRF), GFC, and CO2 laser over several sessions. My goal is to not just treat the surface but to rebuild the skin's foundation for a smoother, clearer complexion.
For deep, tethered acne scars, I often use Radiofrequency (RF) Subcision. This advanced technique uses RF energy to release the fibrous bands pulling the skin down, allowing the scar to lift. It also stimulates new collagen, providing a dual-action approach for significant improvement with minimal downtime.
Your acne is your body sending a message. Whether it's on your jawline suggesting hormonal issues or on your forehead from stress, I focus on decoding these signals. My approach is to treat the root cause, not just the breakout you see.
CO2 laser is a powerful tool for acne scars and skin rejuvenation, but it must be used differently on Indian skin compared to Caucasian skin. I customize the laser settings to be safer and more spaced out for our skin tones, minimizing the risk of pigmentation while still achieving excellent results over a few sessions.
Waiting for acne to clear on its own is a mistake I see too often. Every pimple is an inflammation that can lead to a permanent scar. I believe in treating acne early and correctly with options ranging from medications to peels and lasers, because treating acne today is far easier and cheaper than treating a scar tomorrow.
Boxcar scars, with their sharp edges, can be particularly stubborn. I use a technique called "shouldering," with either a CO2 laser or an RF needle, to soften these edges. This transforms the boxcar scar into a smoother rolling scar, which can then be more effectively treated with other methods like microneedling.
Let's play Fact or Cap. Can you shrink pores? Fact, with treatments like CO2 laser, but you can't close them completely. Do you need sunscreen indoors? Fact, because UV rays can penetrate windows. I believe in giving you clear, evidence-based answers to help you care for your skin correctly.
This transformation was achieved with a series of four carefully selected chemical peels. Peels are an excellent way to manage active acne and reduce post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation by exfoliating the skin and unclogging pores, revealing a brighter, more even complexion.
About Featured
You have seen the transformations in my gallery, but real results depend on one thing: early intervention. Every inflammatory pimple that lingers is potential scar tissue in the making, which is why I never just throw products at the problem. I focus on identifying the triggers—whether they are hormonal, dietary, or environmental—and using the right medical tools, like CO2 lasers or subcision, to reset your skin's health.
Why Your Skin Needs a Root Cause Diagnosis
Most people come to me after spending months or years trying every viral serum on Instagram. The issue isn't that those products are 'bad,' it's that they aren't addressing your specific skin.
At my Koramangala clinic, I don't guess. Acne is often a sign of something deeper—a hormonal imbalance like PCOS, a reaction to local hard water, or a dietary trigger. Before I recommend a peel, laser, or medication, we look at the 'why.'
Treating Indian Skin Safely
Indian skin has a higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. This is why I caution against aggressive, high-setting lasers that might work on lighter skin tones but can cause darkening or scarring on ours. My treatments, such as CO2 fractional laser or Microneedling RF, are adjusted to your specific skin density and tone. We aim for gradual, consistent improvement rather than a one-time 'miracle' that risks damage.
Common Procedures We Use
- RF Subcision: Used for tethered scars where the skin is being pulled down by fibrous bands. We release these bands to allow the skin to rise.
- Shouldering Technique: I use lasers to soften the sharp edges of boxcar scars, making them look smoother.
- Medical Chemical Peels: Far more effective than home exfoliators, these target active acne and surface pigment safely.
My goal is to give you a clear, science-backed roadmap. Your skin is not a science experiment. Let's treat it with the evidence it deserves.
