About Dance Production & Choreography
Why I Dance
Dance, for me, is more than just movement. I use it to ask questions, tackle real issues, and tell stories that go deeper than the surface. Every production starts with a spark - sometimes a concept, sometimes a dilemma, sometimes a personal experience. I’m drawn to themes that matter, from climate change (like my “Ikshana” production with Bharatanatyam) to exploring identity in “Pehchaan”. I’ve even mixed in boatman songs (Bhatiyali) from Bengal and dived into the worlds of Ibsen and Tagore.
My Approach
- If you’re coming with a ready idea or just a rough thought, I can help shape it from scratch.
- I take care of everything: concept, artistic direction, original choreography for solos, duets, or large ensembles, and even full show production.
- My base is Bharatanatyam, but I love experimenting - sometimes I bring in Nijinsky’s style or Western classical music. I’m all about fusion classical dance that tells a story.
Collaborations That Matter
Art doesn’t happen in a vacuum. I team up with scholars, writers, theatre directors, photographers, and musicians (Indian and Western). A live orchestra? Always. It adds a punch you just can’t get otherwise. Multidisciplinary dance production is my jam.
How It Works
Whether we work online or in-person at my Gurgaon studio, I keep the process flexible. For group projects, technology helps us stay synced until final rehearsals, so we focus on chemistry, not just steps. If you want a collaborative dance project that feels real, not just rehearsed, I’m here.

My Story
You know, people get confused when I say I’m crazy about math and history. But dance is where it all mixes up for me - it’s my way to connect ideas, make sense of life. I’m always tweaking steps, even last minute, and honestly, some days I just want to crash. But dance gives me purpose, it’s my pehchaan. I’m a sucker for handloom sarees and adrak chai, and backstage moments with friends are pure gold. My soul? It’s like an orchestra, and dance is me trying to hear every instrument inside.
My Work
Bharatanatyam performances & choreography - I perform solo and with my group, create new thematic Bharatanatyam choreography for events.
Storytelling through dance - I explore stories from mythology, Sangam poetry, and even themes like climate crisis in my productions.
Workshops & teaching - I run Bharatanatyam workshops for beginners and regular classes, sharing what I’ve learnt as an eternal student.
Collaboration & teamwork - Every show is a team effort - I love working with fellow dancers, musicians, and artists to create something real.
