We run a 2-week summer chess camp for kids aged 6 to 14, with small groups, FIDE-rated coaches, and a tournament at the end so every child learns and competes.
Pricing Guide
10-Day Foundation Camp (20 Hours)
Schedule & Batch
- Duration: 10 days (Monday to Friday) with 2 hours of coaching per day, totaling 20 hours.
- Batch Size: Small groups (typically 10-15 students) to ensure specific individual correction.
Coaching & Curriculum
- Expert Instruction: Classes taught exclusively by active FIDE-rated players teaching current tournament standards.
- Scope: Covers board basics and notations through to intermediate tactics like pins, skewers, and forks.
- Methodology: Hybrid teaching using large screen digital analysis combined with traditional board demonstrations.
Tournament Experience
- Simulation: Includes an internal Swiss-League style tournament to simulate competitive pressure.
- Etiquette: Training on professional tournament rules including clock management and the touch-move rule.
- Outcome: Physical course completion certificate awarded upon conclusion.
Facility & Equipment
- Location: Physical center in Jayanagar 4th Block.
- Environment: Functional classroom setup with standard plastic chairs and wall/ceiling fans (non-AC).
- Gear: Practice conducted on professional tournament-standard vinyl boards with weighted plastic pieces.

Why Our Summer Camp Feels Different
I get that summer can slip by in a blur of screens and boredom. At Chess Shoots, we flip that script. The camp is a proper brain workout - not some dry lecture. Kids aged 6 to 14 jump in, whether they’re total newbies or have played a few matches. I keep batches small, so every kid gets real attention from our FIDE-rated coaches.
What Your Kid Actually Learns
We keep it simple, fun, and packed with action:
- Basic chess moves and notations, so even beginners can follow along.
- Opening tricks to help kids start games with confidence.
- Tactics like pins and forks that make games exciting.
- Playing with the chess clock, learning to manage time under pressure.
- Endgames and strategies, plus a bunch of tips that stick.
How We Set Up the Camp
No marathon sessions - just enough to keep kids hooked:
- 20 hours of interactive chess classes for children, split across 2 weeks.
- Classes run Monday to Friday. Weekends? Chill and practice.
- Two slots: Morning (10:30 am - 12:30 pm) or Afternoon (2:00 pm - 4:00 pm).
Making It Real
At the end, every kid jumps into our internal kids chess tournament summer. Win or lose, everyone gets a certificate. That way, they actually see how far they’ve come. Honestly, it’s about building confidence one match at a time.

My Story
Chess Shoots started in 2011 with just one goal - give kids a fair shot at the chess board, no big upfront fees, no boring classes.
