My Story

We’re Tango Academy, not your typical dance school. Started by Roopa Math, who ditched engineering for dance, we’re all about the real heart of Tango. Roopa trained in Buenos Aires, got hooked at her first Milonga, and now she’s back to build a Tango community here. Our classes aren’t about perfection – it’s about feeling the music, connecting, and finding your own groove. Come as you are, no fancy shoes needed.

My Work

Dance Classes & Events - Argentine Tango classes, beginner Bachata lessons, private sessions, wedding choreography, and regular Milonga social events.

TangoShastra Approach - We teach Tango using the TangoShastra method - a scientific, step-by-step guide to rhythm and technique.

No Experience Needed - Absolute beginners welcome! You don’t need a partner or dance background, just curiosity.

Lead & Follow for All - Everyone learns to lead and follow. It’s about partnership, not roles.

Private Lessons & Special Moments - Book 1-on-1 sessions or let us choreograph your wedding dance for a magical first moment.
