The AMA Student Community: A Supportive Space to Learn
At AMA, we don't just teach makeup techniques; we build a community where every student is seen, valued, and empowered to grow at their own pace.
Everyone loves to be called by their name. I make it a priority to learn every student's name in each batch. It's my way of showing them they are seen and valued.
Moments like these are priceless. Hearing a student's sister share how I've been a role model for her is incredibly humbling and reminds me why I love what I do.
Learning should be fun. Here's a glimpse of the light-hearted and interactive moments in my class. We work hard, but we also share a lot of laughs.
A happy group photo from our weekend batch. The smiles say it all. We learn, we create, and we grow together as a community.
A wide shot of our Bangalore masterclass. It's amazing to bring so many passionate learners together in one room.
A group photo with the wonderful participants of my Bangalore masterclass. So much talent and energy in one frame.
A demonstration in progress at our Bangalore masterclass. The room is filled with artists eager to learn and elevate their skills.
A hairstyling demonstration during the Bangalore masterclass. We cover all aspects of bridal grooming to provide a complete education.
It's always a pleasure to connect with fellow artists and students. Here I am taking a photo with a participant after the masterclass.
A hug of appreciation. These moments of connection with my students are what make every workshop and masterclass so special.
About The AMA Student Community
I make it a point to know every single one of my students by name. Whether you’re joining our weekend workshop in Saligramam or an online masterclass, you aren't just a number to me. We keep our batches intentionally small so that when you make mistakes—and you will—I’m right there to fix them with you, rather than just showing you how it’s done from a distance.
At AMA, we’ve built more than a classroom; we’ve built a circle of support. When you’re learning to handle a makeup brush for the first time, there is often a lot of pressure to be perfect. My students frequently come in nervous, wondering if they’ll ever 'get it.' My job is to prove that thappu pannalum paravalla (if you make a mistake, it’s okay). We can always correct it together.
Whether you are training for a professional career as a makeup artist or just looking for a self-grooming workshop to polish your everyday look, you will find that we focus heavily on sahipputhanmai (patience). You get hands-on experience in our Saligramam, Chennai studio, where I personally audit your makeup kit, fix your technique, and teach you how to handle real-world challenges—like managing a nervous bride or working on a busy wedding day.
We keep our batches small because I need to see your progress and provide direct, honest feedback. You aren't just here to watch a demo; you are here to practice, mess up, learn, and try again. My goal is to send you out into the world not just with a certificate, but with the confidence to start your own journey. We learn, we laugh, and we grow as a community. If you are ready to put in the work, I am ready to be in your corner.
