My Shift from Tech to the Lens
I swapped spreadsheets for shutters, moving from IT to full-time photography. Bombay’s creative chaos just pulled me right in. I’m not just about getting a shot - I want each photo to feel like a little story, something you can almost taste or touch.
What I Do With Your Products
I focus on visual storytelling. Every product has a vibe, and I try to capture that - not just make it look pretty, but make people feel something too. I’ve worked with all sorts of brands - D2C, FMCG, restaurants, luxury, local home bakers, pet treats, even furniture and skincare.
My Styles, Your Story
- Lifestyle product shoot: Your product, set in scenes that feel real and aspirational. Like, chai masala on a monsoon morning, or festival themes for special launches.
- E-commerce product images: Clean, crisp shots with minimalist product backgrounds that pop on any online store. I love playing with colors, props, and sometimes creating creative stop-motion videos or GIFs for extra zing.
- Food catalogue photography: For restaurants or cloud kitchens, I make sure your food looks drool-worthy on Swiggy, Zomato, or your menu.
How We Work
We start with a chat to get your brief, then build a visual plan together. I shoot from my Mumbai home studio with pro Canon gear and lighting, so your products always look their best.
My work’s been seen in Vogue India, Midday, Bandra Buzz, and even TimeOut New York. Not every day is perfect, but I love the hustle and the magic of catching that perfect shot.

Heyyy, it’s Mahek! Engineer turned IT banker turned full-time food photographer – Bombay ki energy ne poora game change kar diya (Bombay’s energy changed everything). I started blogging, freelancing, and now I run my own biz. Cafes in Bandra are my second home, and I’m always chasing light and flavors. I’m all about telling stories, for brands and myself.
