The Practice Room: Jatis & Technique

This is where the foundation is built. Following the Vempati Chinna Satyam style, we focus on the essential building blocks of Kuchipudi, from basic footwork and postures to complex rhythmic compositions known as jatis. The goal is to develop strength, precision, and a deep understanding of the dance's technical vocabulary.

Abhinaya: Dancing the Poem

My abhinaya masterclasses are where we translate poetry into the language of dance. We explore compositions by poets like Meera Bai, Annamacharya, and Tagore, focusing on how to embody the emotion and narrative of the text through subtle expression and gesture.

The Dancer's Discipline: Fitness & Conditioning

A dancer's body is their instrument, and maintaining it requires discipline beyond the dance studio. I believe in cross-training to build strength, prevent injury, and improve stamina, incorporating practices like yoga and core conditioning into my routine.
