This is the first look into my world of ballet. It is a curated glimpse into the discipline, the artistry, and the transformative journey that begins in my studio and culminates on the stage. Each visual represents a core tenet of my teaching: the pursuit of technical perfection, the poise of performance, the tender beginnings of a young dancer, and the profound philosophy that underpins it all.
The Annual Recital: SOLUS
This is the culmination of a year of discipline and dedication. Our annual recital, 'SOLUS', is a professional stage experience where every student, from the youngest beginners to our most advanced soloists, performs. It is a testament to their growth, courage, and artistry.
The Foundation: Classical Technique
My approach is rooted in old-school ballet drills. There are no shortcuts. In the studio, we build strength, precision, and control through meticulous repetition of barre work and center exercises, which you can see in these behind-the-scenes clips.
First Steps: Creative Movement (Ages 4-7)
For my youngest dancers, I introduce ballet through creative movement. We use playful cues, props, and storytelling to teach foundational concepts like demi-plié and first position, building discipline and a love for dance from the very beginning.
The Ascent: Advanced Conditioning & Pointe Work
For students on the professional track, the training intensifies. This includes advanced conditioning to build athletic power and the demanding discipline of pointe work, which requires years of foundational training and immense strength.
Beyond Classical: Contemporary & Jazz
While grounded in classical technique, we also explore other forms. My contemporary and jazz ballet classes encourage students to find a different kind of expression, blending the discipline of ballet with modern fluidity and style.
