Acne, Scars & Pigmentation Solutions
Dermatologist-led clinical treatments for stubborn acne marks, deep scars, and uneven skin tone. No viral hacks, just proven science.
This shows the kind of improvement possible for acne scars after just one session of our combination treatment, which included microneedling radiofrequency. Treating scars is a journey, but clear progress is achievable.
Here are the results for acne scar treatment after just one month. We used a combination approach to stimulate new, healthy collagen and smooth out the skin's surface.
This before and after image shows the result of one session combining a chemical peel with laser toning. This dual approach is effective for tackling long-standing pigmentation and achieving a more even skin tone.
Another angle showing the improvement in facial pigmentation after a single session of a peel and laser toning. This combination helps break down pigment and exfoliate the skin for faster results.
This is Microneedling with Radiofrequency (MNRF), a powerful treatment for acne scars and skin tightening. The needles create micro-injuries while RF energy delivers heat to deeper layers, stimulating significant collagen production.
We now offer a full range of scar treatments, including the CO2 laser. This technology is excellent for skin resurfacing, helping to boost collagen and heal various types of scars for smoother skin.
This is me trying out the Dermapen 4 microneedling treatment myself. It helps me understand exactly what my patients experience, from the sensation to the downtime, so I can guide you better.
Acne scars form due to deep inflammation or picking at pimples. This video explains why they happen and shows a CO2 laser treatment, which works by creating controlled thermal injury to stimulate new collagen and heal the skin.
This is a very important message. Stubborn, severe hormonal acne can sometimes be a sign of an underlying health issue. This patient's story is a reminder to always be vigilant about your body's signals.
The best way to deal with acne scars is to prevent them. In this video, I share my top three tips for managing active acne, including not picking and seeking timely treatment to reduce inflammation.
About Acne, Scars & Pigmentation Solutions
Acne scars aren't just surface-level issues. They exist in the deeper collagen layers of your skin, which is exactly why those expensive over-the-counter scar creams often fail to make a dent. To actually see progress, we need to trigger controlled healing from within using medical-grade procedures like MNRF or chemical peels. It’s a journey, not an overnight miracle, but it is one that fundamentally changes your skin’s texture.
When you have stubborn acne or deep pits, you are dealing with structural damage to the skin's collagen. My approach is to treat the skin using a multimodal strategy—meaning we combine different techniques based on your specific scar type.
Common Procedures:
- MNRF (Microneedling Radiofrequency): This is one of my go-to treatments for deep acne scars. It uses gold-plated needles to create micro-injuries while delivering heat to the deeper dermis, stimulating a strong collagen remodeling response.
- Chemical Peels: For pigmentation, dark spots, or uneven tone, I select medical-grade peels that exfoliate the surface and encourage cell turnover.
- Laser Toning: Often used for pigmentation, this helps break down melanin without damaging the surrounding tissue.
- CO2 Laser: Reserved for specific resurfacing needs where we need to aggressively stimulate new, healthy skin growth.
A Note on Patience
Treating scars and pigmentation is not about finding a magic product. It is about consistent clinical intervention and time. While one session can provide visible improvement, most patients need a series of sessions to achieve the results they want. I never promise instant results because healthy skin doesn't work that way. During your consultation at our HSR Layout clinic, we will assess the depth of your scarring and build a plan that actually fits your skin type and lifestyle.
