About Himalayan & Pan-Asian Specialties
Why I Started Singju
I missed the taste of home in Mumbai. You get all kinds of thalis here, but the bold, earthy flavours from the Northeast and Himalayas? Not so much. That’s why I started Singju - to share the food I grew up with, the kind that feels like a warm hug after a long day.
What’s on My Menu
- Handcrafted momos, steamed in bamboo, juicy and packed with spiced fillings. I always serve them with my signature soup and dipping sauces.
- Jhol momo broth - delicate dumplings in a tangy, spicy broth with mustard oil, garlic, sesame, and Himalayan spices.
- Thukpa, a noodle soup that’s pure comfort, with a twist if you want prawns.
Flavours from the Hills
- Singju salad, my namesake, is a crunchy, spicy mix with fermented fish, perilla, and fish mint. It’s not for everyone, but if you like bold, punchy flavours, you’ll love it.
- U-Morok chilli wings - these are fiery, thanks to the legendary King Chilli. Not for the faint-hearted.
- Crisp pork dry fry, with Bhoot Jolokia, for those who like it hot.
Pan-Asian Favourites & Sweet Endings
- Classic fried rice, Hakka noodles, Manchurian, and chilli dishes, all with a choice of veggies, chicken, prawn, or smoked pork from Manipur.
- Mango sticky rice and coconut ice cream for dessert.
- Aromica blue tea from Assam, made with Butterfly Pea flower, for something refreshing and different.
Some dishes are an acquired taste, but if you’re up for a little adventure, chalo, try karo (come on, give it a shot).

My Story
We’re just folks from the Northeast, missing home in Mumbai’s madness. So, we started Singju - named after that fiery Manipuri salad, you know? Our place is all bamboo, brass, and memories, not just food. It’s our way of bringing a slice of home, the real Northeast, smack in the middle of Juhu. If you walk in, you’ll get more than a meal - you’ll get stories, smiles, and maybe a taste of nostalgia.
My Work
