Learn Sitar Techniques with Me

These short videos break down the essential building blocks of sitar playing, from fundamental ornamentations to complex improvisations. I demonstrate core concepts like 'Meend' (gliding between notes), 'Krintan' (a rapid ornamentation), and 'Gamak' (heavy, oscillating notes) to give you a clear, practical understanding of Hindustani sitar techniques.

Guruvandan: Our Annual Student Showcase

Every Guru Purnima, my students get the opportunity to perform at 'Guruvandan', a full-day concert celebrating the guru-shishya parampara. This is not just a recital; it is a professionally organized event that gives students from all levels a real stage experience, complete with tabla accompaniment and a supportive audience.

Ravi Chary Sitar Symphony

This is my professional ensemble where my advanced and performance-ready students join me on stage for concerts across India. We present a unique blend of classical, fusion, and light music, creating a powerful symphonic experience with multiple sitars, percussion, and other instruments.

Masterclasses & Workshops

I believe in providing my students with a holistic education, which includes learning from other masters. My academy regularly invites legends like Padma Shri Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan and Pt. Suresh Talwalkar for intensive workshops on specific topics like rhythm, raga expansion, and advanced techniques.

Performances & Collaborations

Music is about sharing, and I am grateful for the opportunities to perform and collaborate with phenomenal artists across different genres. This collection features moments from my solo recitals, jugalbandis (duets), and fusion concerts in India and around the world.

Swar Yatra: USA Tour

I frequently travel to share the music of the sitar with audiences and students abroad. This was my USA Spring Tour, a 'Swar Yatra' or musical journey across North America, where I conducted concerts and advanced masterclasses for sitar players.

My Musical Journey & Parampara

My music is a reflection of the blessings and teachings of my Gurus. This collection is a tribute to my father, Pt. Prabhakar Chari, and my other masters who have shaped my journey. It is this rich 'guru-shishya parampara' that I strive to pass on to my own students.

A Glimpse into Our Classes
