Debunking Youth Training Myths

There is a lot of misinformation about strength training for kids. I use scientific evidence to bust these myths and educate parents on the facts. Properly supervised, age-appropriate training is not only safe but essential for a child's athletic development.

Training Through Growth Spurts

The "adolescent awkwardness" phase is real and I specialize in managing it. When bones grow faster than muscles, coordination can dip and injury risk increases. My programs include growth monitoring and adjusted training to help athletes adapt safely and build resilience.

Building Foundational Skills (Ages 7+)

Before an athlete can excel, they must master the basics. My program for youth athletes focuses on fundamental movement skills, correcting poor mechanics, and building the physical and mental capacity needed for any sport. I identify the signs that indicate a need for structured intervention.

Speed & Agility Lab

Speed is a skill that can be taught. I break down sprint mechanics into distinct phases and use targeted drills to fix inefficiencies and "leaks." Whether it's linear speed for a breakaway or change-of-direction quickness, my methods are based on the science of force production.

Injury Prevention & Sports Science

My first priority is to keep athletes healthy. I use principles of sports science to identify and correct movement patterns that lead to injury. This includes managing training load, understanding biomechanics like knee valgus, and emphasizing proper warm-ups and recovery.

Little Champs: FUNdamentals for Early Movers (Ages 2-6)

It is never too early to build a love for movement. My Little Champs program uses structured, play-based sessions to develop balance, coordination, and body awareness in toddlers and young children. This is the 'Active Start' stage, creating a fun, safe space to grow.

Sport-Specific Programs

While the foundations of athleticism are universal, I also provide specialized training to meet the unique demands of different sports. From the rotational power needed in cricket to the explosive agility in football, my programs are tailored to help athletes excel in their chosen field.
