Solo Recitals: The Art of Abhinaya & Nritta

My solo performances are the most personal expression of my 35 years of dance. I focus on deep abhinaya (expression) to tell stories and intricate nritta (pure dance) to play with rhythm, bringing classic Bharatanatyam pieces to life for your event.

Kalangan Ensemble: Group Performances

For larger events, I perform with my senior students from Kalangan. We present a vibrant range of choreographed pieces, from powerful invocatory dances to energetic Tillanas, all tailored to create a memorable experience for your guests.

Every performance is built on hours of dedicated practice and teamwork. This is a glimpse into our rehearsal process at the Kalangan studio, where we refine every movement and expression before bringing it to the stage.

The Complete Experience: Dance with Live Music

I believe authentic Bharatanatyam is elevated by live music. My recitals are almost always accompanied by a talented ensemble of Carnatic vocalists, mridangam, flute, and nattuvangam players to create a truly immersive and soulful performance.

Lec-Dems & Educational Sessions

For schools, corporate groups, or anyone curious about Bharatanatyam, I offer lecture-demonstrations. In these interactive sessions, I break down the history, technique, and stories behind the dance, making it accessible and engaging for all audiences.

A Legacy of Dance: My Mother, My Guru

My dance is a tribute to my mother and guru, Smt. Jamuna Krishnan. Her spirit, compositions, and teachings are the foundation of my art, and I carry her legacy with me in every performance.
