Every Sunday, I bring folks together for yoga in Cubbon Park - it's the one thing I look forward to all week. My style is simple: breathe, move, just be. Doing yoga out in the open, with the city buzzing in the distance and the grass underfoot, feels different. If you’re tired of studio walls, this might be your thing.
This isn't the intense, perfection-chasing kind of class. The vibe is light, sometimes a bit unpredictable - we’ve had sitar music join in, dogs lounging, and people just soaking up the morning. I want everyone to feel they belong, whether you’re super flexible or just starting.
Once we wrap up, people hang around. Sometimes there’s homemade cake, hummus, or chilled majjige (buttermilk). Chatting with everyone after is honestly my favorite part. That simple connection - marete hogidde (I had almost forgotten) how much it means.
We meet Sunday mornings, always in Cubbon Park. Just bring yourself - and maybe a mat!
