I know how tough those 4 PM cravings hit. We want something tasty but also not heavy or fried. My thing is simple - I make classic Indian snacks, just lighter. No frying, only baking or roasting. That way, you still get the crunch and taste, but it’s way better for your health.

What Goes Into My Snacks

  • I use millets like ragi and jowar, chickpeas, soya, and healthy seeds. These are good for you, not just filler stuff.
  • For sweets, I skip the refined sugar. Instead, it’s jaggery, dates, or coconut - so you get sugar-free Indian sweets that don’t mess with your diet.

Snack Options

  • Baked bhujia and crispy chips (ragi, millet, barley, oats, flaxseed) for those low calorie evening snacks.
  • Roasted munchies like soya sticks (Masala, Pudina), roasted chana, and masala muri - all high on crunch, not on grease.
  • Power mixes: Multigrain diet mix and roasted seeds - great if you want protein-packed Indian snacks that actually keep you full.
  • Sweet cravings? My Lonavala chikki and Rajasthan tilpatti are all about real ingredients and homely flavours.

I miss those hometown snacks too - chikki from Lonavala, namkeen from Indore, masala muri from Kolkata. It’s not just food, it’s memories, na?
