We built Karmasthan because our group of volunteers got tired of being shooed away from parks. We just wanted a place where everyone felt welcome, no questions asked. This spot is here so nobody has to worry about being told to leave again.

What You’ll Find at Karmasthan

Karmasthan is a bit different - India’s first space totally meant for volunteering, inclusion, and social change. We call it "Karmasthan" because it’s literally meant to be a place for good deeds. Anyone working on something meaningful can walk in, get started, and feel like they belong.

What Happens Here

• Workshops for all abilities - we’ve done eco-friendly Rakhi making with visually impaired folks and book events for the Deaf community
• Community and volunteer meetups - your team, your project, your vibe
• NGO events and training - works well for smaller groups who need an affordable venue for NGOs or foundations
• Creative jams - painting, crafts, skill shares

The Feel

It’s not fancy or stiff - the walls are full josh (super energetic), painted by our volunteers. Everything’s moveable so the place can switch up for any social impact workshop venue or community gathering place Bangalore has been missing.
