About

We don’t just pull off events - we try to make every festival feel like a movement. Our motto’s simple: everyone does their bit, and together we make something huge. You’ll see us organizing mashups of art, music, and social change, but real talk - what matters most is that everyone gets to join in, especially folks with disabilities.

Highlights from Our Festivals

  • Tandav, our flagship, is more than just an inclusive dance festival. Over 1500 people, 100+ performers, and a crowd that literally brings the house down. You’ll find traditional Shinkari Melam, Punjabi Dhol, and a DJ, all in the same day.
  • Happy Festival? That’s a day with 200 visually impaired students, 200 volunteers, and stuff like board games, treasure hunts, and movies with audio descriptions.
  • Sign Fest is how we throw a sign language celebration - bringing Deaf and hearing communities together. Songs, stories, and tons of new learning.
  • From Satrangi Re (live music, dhol, games under the trees) to our GATHr picnics for newcomers, we’re always trying to make it easy to find your people.

Powered by Volunteers

Our whole ‘Inclusion Movement’ runs because people show up on weekends to help out. We even built Karmasthan in BTM Layout - a community volunteering hub where everything gets planned and prepped.

We’re Everywhere

From Cubbon Park lawns to Bellandur schools and Kanakpura campsites, we pop up wherever the community is. If you’re in Bangalore and want accessible events, chances are we’re not far.

My Story

Started out as a bunch of friends, painting and laughing on Sundays, just wanting to give back. We called ourselves Smileys. Instagram went wild in 2023, and suddenly, we grew big - like, really big. So, we got serious, built structure, started The Inclusion Movement. Now, every weekend, we’re at special schools, but we missed the old vibe, the art, the fun. Karmasthan came to life - a space in Bangalore where anyone can walk in, create, belong. Still all about the smiles, always.

My Work

Inclusive Festivals & Events - We run Tandav, an inclusive dance festival, and host events like Happy Festival and Satrangi Re for differently-abled kids.

Community Art Platforms - Our open mic nights like Voices In The Spotlight welcome stand-up, poetry, singing, and more, all for social causes.

Karmasthan Volunteering Hub - Karmasthan in BTM Layout is our volunteering hub. Join eco-friendly workshops, sign language classes, or just drop in.

Weekend Volunteering at Special Schools - Every weekend, our crew volunteers at 25+ special schools, bringing dance and joy to kids with disabilities.
