Started in 1992 with just 14 students at Bannerghatta, now we train over 50,000 karate students each year across India. For us, karate is not just a class - it’s a way of life. Discipline comes first, always.

Authentic Okinawa Karate-Do

We teach the original Okinawa Shorin-ryu training, straight from the source. Every year, our senior instructors and I travel to Okinawa, Japan, to learn directly from the masters. Alli hege teach madtare, same illi navu teach madtivi (How they teach there, we teach the same here.) No shortcuts, no dilution.

What We Cover

  • Basics (Kihon): Stances, punches, blocks, kicks
  • Kata (Forms): Structured routines for power, focus, and memory
  • Kumite (Sparring): Controlled, practical self-defense skills
  • Total Conditioning: Build stamina, flexibility, and strength

All ages are welcome - kids to grownups. It’s tough, but the growth is real.

Progress & Recognition

Move up the karate belt ranking system, from white to Black Belt and beyond. Regular grading tests, real effort, and a ceremony to celebrate your progress.

Dojo Life

My Story

Started OSK Federation way back in 1992, just 14 kids in Bannerghatta. Vishraantiyannu badigittu (kept rest aside), I put my whole life into teaching. My Karate roots are from Okinawa, Japan, not Kerala, though I’m from Wayanad. Every year, we go there, train, and bring the authentic Shorin-ryu Shorinkan syllabus back. My teachers, Nakazato Hanshi, showed me the real way. Now, seeing our students become instructors - that’s the real proud moment. OSK is one big family, built on discipline.

My Work

Karate, Kobudo & Self Defense Classes - We teach traditional Okinawan Karate, Kobudo weapons, and self-defense workshops for youth and adults.

Authentic Shorin ryu Shorinkan Syllabus - No shortcuts. Whatever is taught in Okinawa, same syllabus here. We go every year to train and keep it real.
