About

I teach authentic Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Seibukan Karate-Do. Here, it’s not about winning medals or playing games - this is about building character and sticking to the old-school way. Everything we do follows our Dojo Kun: respect, truth, effort, etiquette, and never being reckless. I keep it real, because that’s how my teacher in Okinawa taught me.

What Makes This Different

Our karate comes straight from Okinawa, the origin of the art. I learned under Grand Master Zenpo Shimabukuro, and what we practice in Bangalore is just like in the headquarters in Japan. We’re part of the International Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Seibukan Karate-Do group, so when you train here, you get the real deal - not a watered-down version.

Training Structure: Old School, Step by Step

  • Kata is the heart of our training. My teacher always said, “The basic of karate is kata.” It’s not just moves; it’s the whole encyclopedia of techniques and principles.
  • We drill the basics hard: correct stances, sharp punches, using your hips properly. I give feedback, sometimes you’ll hear me say, “Use the hip, forty-five degree, elbow straight.”
  • Partner work (kumite) and conditioning with traditional tools like the makiwara build power and resilience.

Belts aren’t handed out easily. You earn every rank by showing real effort. When you pass, you get certificates recognized in Okinawa.

Who Fits In Here

Kids, adults, beginners, anyone who’s serious about learning. Some join for self-defense, some for discipline or character development in martial arts. It’s a journey - not a quick fix.

The Seibukan Community

When you train with us, you join a group that supports each other. We celebrate grading ceremonies. If you’re dedicated, you might even get to train at our annual karate seminar in Okinawa with the Grand Master and others from across the globe.

My Story

I’m Sensei here, teaching Shorin-Ryu Seibukan karate, straight from Okinawa roots. Been lucky—trained at Shuri Castle, learned from Grand Master Zenpo Shimabukuro himself. What I picked up there, I bring right into my dojo. Karate for me isn’t just punching and kicking. It’s about growing as a person, sticking to truth, and putting in real effort. That’s what I try to pass on to anyone who steps in.

My Work

Karate & Kobudo Classes - I teach traditional Okinawan karate and Jinbukan Kobudo—kids and adults both welcome.

Not Sport Karate - We focus on kata karate training and the real art, not just points or trophies.

Dojo Culture - Hard work, discipline, and respect—students get character development, not just fighting skills.

Who Should Join - Anyone serious about learning authentic karate and self-improvement, not just looking for a sport.
