I’ve been doing Iyengar Yoga for nearly half a century. Learned straight from my Guruji, Dr. B.K.S. Iyengar, so what I teach is the real deal. This isn’t just about touching your toes - it’s about building mental grit and a body that can handle life’s knocks.

Iyengar Approach

The method is all about precision - not rushed, not flashy. Every asana gets attention. We look at how your feet land, how your spine sits, whether your breath is steady. If you’re after flexibility, sure, you’ll get it, but more importantly, you’ll build strength and immunity. It’s a slow burn, but it works.

How Classes Run

Classes happen live on Zoom. I demo, then guide you step by step. You’ll hear things like, “Inhale, Urdhva Hastasana,” “Exhale, Uttanasana.” Props are big here - chairs, blocks, belts, ropes, whatever you have at home. Hagga bittu hidibeku (hold the rope tight). Mistakes happen, no stress, practice sorts it out.

Who Should Join

If you want to know the nuts and bolts of each posture and not just breeze through, you’ll fit right in. We go deep, not just wide. You’ll work hard, but you’ll see results in body and mind.

Schedule

Two batches: Morning (Tue, Thu, Sat, 6:30-7:30 AM IST) and Evening (Mon, Wed, Fri, 6:30-7:30 PM IST). All online, all live.

My Story

Namaskara! I’m Madhava, been living and breathing yoga for 45+ years. Iyengar yoga runs in my veins, thanks to my Guru, Dr. B.K.S. Iyengar. Everything I teach comes straight from him. Yoga isn’t just exercise - it’s strength, immunity, and a sharp mind. My Bangalore Yoga Centre’s been home to many students, and Bellur, Guruji’s birthplace, is close to my heart. Whoever wants to learn, I’m here. Vishwa yoga dinacharaneya shubhashayagalu (Happy International Yoga Day).

Iyengar Yoga & Pranayama Classes - I teach detailed Iyengar yoga online classes and guided pranayama sessions, rooted in Guruji’s approach.

Precision & Alignment - Every asana is about technique. I guide you to get posture and breath right, step by step.

Props for All Levels - We use yoga props for beginners and advanced - chairs, ropes, bricks - to help you learn safely.

Direct Teaching for Serious Learners - I work best with sincere students. Expect honest feedback and technical yoga instruction every class.
