I get bored with mindless exercise too. If you’re looking for something more—where your mind and body both get a workout—this is for you. My Advanced Yoga Studies are for those who want to go past “just doing” yoga, and really dig into why and how it works.

Three Pillars of Practice

  • Yoga Philosophy Deep Dive: We chant and unpack Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, making sense of the roots of yoga, not just the poses. We chat about what “asana” really means. I promise, it’s not about being a pretzel.
  • Pranayama for Experienced Yogis: Breath isn’t just “inhale, exhale.” We explore bāhya (out-breath), abhyantara (in-breath), and stambha (the pause), so your breathwork stops feeling like a “pranayama wasteland.” You’ll get to know your breath in a whole new way.
  • Iyengar Method Breakdown: I show you how to build strong, safe inversions, backbends, and arm balances—using props, breaking down technique, and focusing on the little details that make a big difference for advanced asana tutorials. Teachers, you’ll find plenty to take back to your students.

Real Talk

I don’t believe in “wrong.” Unless you’re hurting yourself, it’s all part of learning. This path is about honesty, curiosity, and actually understanding your practice—not just repeating what you’re told.

My Story

Hola! We’re The Practice Room. Started out teaching yoga in the chaos of NYC, moved to Bombay, now here. The Gurukul tradition—teacher actually cares, asks where you’ve been, no hiding! That stuck with us. We got featured in The New York Times for working with Rohan Bopanna, but honestly, what matters is sharing this wild, deep subject. My Spanish is basic, mi español es muy básico, Sanskrit not perfect, but yoga’s language… that’s universal.
