Tabla Solo: The Heart of Rhythm

This is where the tabla takes center stage as a solo instrument. In these recitals, I present intricate traditional compositions from my Punjab Gharana lineage and explore rhythm through improvisation, usually with the melodic support of a lehra on the harmonium.

The Art of Sangat: Musical Conversations

I believe accompaniment, or 'sangat', is a dynamic dialogue between musicians. My goal is to support and enhance the main artist, whether a vocalist or an instrumentalist, creating a cohesive and moving musical experience for the listener.

Intimate Baithaks & Mehfils

I have a special love for the raw energy of small, acoustic performances. These baithaks and mehfils are about connecting directly with the audience, where the music fills the room without any frills, often with no microphones at all.

Riyaz: The Daily Practice

The journey of a musician is one of continuous riyaz, or dedicated practice. These are the quiet, everyday moments of discipline, exploration, and preparation that happen long before I step on stage.

My Guru, My Foundation

Everything I play is a blessing from my Guruji, Pt. Yogesh Samsi ji. This is a glimpse into our Guru-shishya parivaar, a tradition of learning and reverence that is the foundation of my music and my life.
