We design high-performance commercial hubs that treat the environment as a partner, not an obstacle. Discover our approach to energy-efficient, climate-responsive architecture.

This video showcases the Surat Diamond Bourse, which recently won the JK Architect of the Year Award for 'Green Architecture'. The design integrates nine office towers around a central spine of landscaped courtyards, creating a naturally ventilated and passively cooled environment for the diamond trading community.

The vertical red granite fins at the Surat Diamond Bourse are a key passive cooling feature. They are engineered to harness the Venturi and stack effects, accelerating airflow to naturally ventilate common areas and reduce the building's overall energy consumption.

At night, the illuminated fins of the Surat Diamond Bourse highlight the building's dramatic architectural form. This lighting design emphasizes the verticality and sculptural quality of the fins, which are fundamental to the project's bioclimatic design strategy.

Looking down through the central spine of the Surat Diamond Bourse, you can see how the staggered atria and integrated greenery create a vertical 'green lung'. This design allows hot air to rise and escape, promoting natural air circulation throughout the building's common areas.

This abstract view shows the rhythmic pattern of the balconies overlooking the central courtyard at the Surat Diamond Bourse. The flowing, organic forms create a sense of movement and connection between the different levels of the world's largest office building.

The landscaped courts at the Surat Diamond Bourse are designed as social hubs for the trading community. These shaded spaces, complete with planters and seating, provide pleasant areas for informal meetings, community lunches, and recreation.

At the ceremonial entrance of the Surat Diamond Bourse, a 28-meter-high water droplet sculpture serves as a powerful focal point. Its faceted surface, inspired by diamonds, and the surrounding water feature create a sense of calm and reflect Surat's coastal identity.

The nine interconnected towers of the Surat Diamond Bourse are oriented to maximize self-shading and promote airflow. This image showcases the scale of the project and the use of 'jaali' screens on the facade, a modern take on a traditional climate-responsive element.

The interior of the Surat Diamond Bourse reveals a vast, multi-level space designed for community and commerce. The flowing balconies and integrated planters create a vibrant internal ecosystem, demonstrating how we design for human interaction on a massive scale.

An aerial view of the Surat Diamond Bourse shows its impressive scale and strategic layout. The building's form is a direct response to the climate, designed to unify the diamond community in a sustainable, high-performance environment.

About Pioneering Corporate & Commercial Spaces

Our approach to commercial architecture flips the script on conventional glass-box offices. We analyze local wind patterns and solar paths before the first brick is laid, using passive elements like vertical stone fins and perforated screens to reduce energy loads by fifty percent. This is how we create workplaces that feel alive and actually breathe with the city.

At Morphogenesis, we believe that a commercial space should function as an ecosystem rather than a static building. When we designed the Surat Diamond Bourse, the goal was not just to build the world's largest office, but to prove that massive scale could coexist with passive climate responsiveness.

Our process follows the S.O.U.L.® philosophy: Sustainable, Optimised, Unique, and Liveable. We use computational fluid dynamics analysis to optimize airflow and natural ventilation, ensuring that buildings work with the climate instead of against it. For corporate campuses, this means designing central landscaped spines that act as green lungs, allowing hot air to rise and escape naturally.

We combine these traditional techniques with modern technical rigour. From parametric facade design that controls sun exposure to BIM-driven construction that ensures zero clash, we bridge the gap between architectural ambition and technical reality. The result is a workspace that lowers energy bills and improves the daily experience for everyone who works there.
