Margam: The Solo Journey

The Margam is the traditional, full-length solo recital format in Bharatanatyam, a journey through a spectrum of pieces like Varnams, Javalis, and Thillanas. These performances are the cornerstone of my practice, where I combine technical precision with heartfelt abhinaya to connect with rasikas.

Thematic Productions: Stories Reimagined

This is where I explore larger concepts, blending dance with poetry, mythology, and digital art. These productions, like "Sharad" (Autumn), "Matr̥" (Motherhood), and "Karunaada Maanye" (Ode to River Cauvery), are complete sensory experiences with live music and unique choreography.

Collaborative Duets: The Energy of Two

I love the creative energy that comes from dancing with a partner. Here you will see duets performed with my guru Smt. Indira Kadambi and my dear friend Apeksha Kamath, exploring themes from the philosophical search in "Koham" to the powerful energy of "Shiva Unbound".

The Art of Abhinaya: Storytelling Through Dance

For me, abhinaya is the soul of dance. It is the art of conveying stories and emotions, from a mother's love for Krishna to a nayika's longing. This is where I connect with the audience and bring the poetry of the performance to life.

Behind the Scenes: My Practice and Process

The stage performance is the final result of countless hours of practice, discipline, and dedication. This is a glimpse into my daily 'riyaaz', class sessions with my guru, and the humbling process of returning to the basics to build strength and clarity.

The Complete Experience: With a Live Orchestra

Most of my performances are accompanied by a live orchestra, which I believe is essential for an authentic experience. The energy exchanged with the musicians playing the Nattuvangam, mridangam, and flute is what truly makes the dance come alive.
