About Bengali & Kolkata-Style Cuisine
Why We Do What We Do
Food is more than just eating for us - it's about memories, comfort, and that feeling of home. I started Khawar Ashe Pashe to bring the real taste of Bengali and Kolkata-style khawar to Bangalore, so you don’t have to miss out on those flavours that make you say, “Aha, ekhane shotti Bangali ranna!” (Here’s real Bengali cooking!)
What’s On My Menu
- I stick to the classics. You’ll find Kolkata Biryani with potato and egg, Golbarir Kosha Mangsho, and Chicken/Mutton Chaap - all cooked by chefs who know their stuff.
- Fish is a must. Shorshe Ilish mustard fish curry and Golda Chingri Malai Curry are favourites, and we treat our seafood with proper respect.
- Veg lovers, I’ve got you. Niramish Bengali vegetarian thali comes with Alu Posto, Labra, Basanti Pulao, and even ‘No Onion No Garlic’ options for those special days.
- If you’re craving something different, Tangra Chinese Kolkata-style is on the menu - Mixed Fried Rice, Chilli Chicken, and Momos with that spicy chutney.
- Sweet endings? Always. Rosogolla and homemade Payesh are here to finish things off.
Festivals & Feels
During Pujo and Poila Boishakh, I roll out special menus and thalis so you can celebrate with proper Bangali food, even if you’re far from home. Sometimes, things get busy and we run out of favourites, but that’s just how it is when you keep things fresh and homely.
How We Serve
Eat in, takeaway, or get it delivered - whatever works for you. My place is small, cozy, and all about good food, no fuss.

My Story
We’re Khawar-Ashe Pashe, and honestly, food is our world. Moved from Kolkata to Bangalore, but that true Bengali taste? Missed it every single day. So, we started cooking up the classics here - for anyone longing for home-style biryani and Sorse Ilish. Festivals, family, memories, all tied up in our kitchen. Had a rough patch, closed for a bit, but couldn’t stay away for long. Food’s not just business for us, it’s pure emotion.
