Landscapes for Learning: Environments for Growth and Interaction

I design educational campuses as ecosystems for learning, where outdoor spaces are as important as classrooms. My approach involves creating a variety of settings, from quiet contemplative gardens to vibrant social courtyards and active play areas, all tailored to foster student interaction, well-being, and a connection to the natural environment.

Healing by Design: Healthcare Environments

I believe that the environment plays a crucial role in the healing process. In my healthcare projects, I integrate nature to create spaces that reduce stress, support recovery, and provide respite for patients, families, and staff. This is achieved through therapeutic gardens, naturally ventilated courtyards, and green terraces that serve as windows of hope.

Green Communities: Residential & Urban Redevelopment

My goal in residential design is to create more than just housing; I aim to build communities. By weaving green spaces, interactive courtyards, and pedestrian-friendly pathways into the fabric of a development, I increase the quality of life, foster social connection, and enhance the microclimate for residents.

Immersive Retreats: Hospitality & Leisure

For hospitality projects, my philosophy is to create a complete escape where the landscape is the main attraction. I design resorts and hotels that are deeply rooted in their context, whether on a historic site or a pristine natural lake. The architecture is designed to complement the terrain, offering guests a serene and immersive experience.

Urban Ecology: The Malabar Forest Trail

The Malabar Hill Forest Trail is a project born from a personal dream to share a forgotten piece of Mumbai's wilderness. I designed the elevated walkway to have a minimal footprint, floating above the forest floor to protect the delicate ecosystem. It is an example of responsible urban intervention, creating a space for eco-tourism, education, and quiet contemplation in the heart of the city.

Sustainable Solutions & Materiality

My commitment to sustainability is reflected in every design choice, from the overall site planning to the selection of materials. I prioritize the use of local, eco-friendly materials and integrate passive design strategies to create buildings that are energy-efficient, comfortable, and responsive to their climate. This cluster showcases some of the key principles and materials I use in my practice.
