I love the art of the jugalbandi, the musical dialogue between two instruments. I have been blessed to accompany a variety of instruments, including the sitar, sarod, santoor, and violin, creating a unique chemistry with each artist on stage.

There is a special responsibility in accompanying a vocalist. My role is to provide a steady, yet expressive, rhythmic canvas that supports the emotional and technical nuances of their performance, whether it's a Khayal, Thumri, or a devotional piece.

In a solo recital, the tabla becomes the lead voice. This is where I can fully explore the rich repertoire of the Farukhabad gharana, presenting rare compositions taught to me by my Guruji, Pandit Subhankar Banerjee, and improvising to create a captivating rhythmic narrative.

Accompanying Kathak is a unique and exhilarating experience. It involves a dynamic interplay between the tabla bols and the dancer's footwork, creating a powerful synergy of sound and movement. I am always excited for opportunities to collaborate with dancers.
