Speaking Engagements: From Classrooms to Cultural Forums

I engage in conversations at schools, colleges, and cultural events to share the richness of Indian artistic traditions. These sessions are designed to be interactive discussions, not dry lectures, focusing on the role of arts in education and dreaming big.

Lec-Dems: Making Classical Dance Accessible

My lecture-demonstrations, or 'lec-dems', are designed to demystify Bharatanatyam for new audiences. I blend performance with explanations, breaking down the stories, emotions (bhava), and rhythms (tala) to help everyone, from students to adults, learn how to appreciate the art form.

Immersive Workshops & Masterclasses

I conduct intensive workshops for dancers and dance appreciation sessions for beginners, teachers, and corporate groups. My masterclasses for dancers focus on the nuances of abhinaya (expression) and the guru-shishya parampara, exploring compositions and their contexts in depth.

Curating Events & Nurturing a Community of Rasikas

A key part of my work is curating festivals and events that provide a platform for other artists and help nurture a community of 'rasikas' or informed art lovers. From the World Dance Day celebrations to large-scale productions at the Serendipity Arts Festival, I aim to create meaningful cultural dialogues.

I am humbled and grateful for the honours I have received from esteemed cultural institutions and my peers in the arts community. These recognitions strengthen my resolve to continue my journey in dance education and outreach.
