This is the first glimpse into my world of Bharatanatyam. It is a curated collection that captures the essence of my solo performances, the energy of my group productions with Natya Vriksha, and the joy I find in the guru-shishya parampara. Each piece is a prayer, a story, and a connection to our traditions.
Arangetrams: The Guru's Pride
The arangetram, a student's debut solo performance, is the culmination of years of rigorous training and a testament to the living guru-shishya parampara. For me, it is a moment of immense joy to watch a shishya transform into a confident artist, ready to carry the tradition forward. This gallery celebrates these milestone performances at Natya Vriksha.
Thematic Productions
My group productions with the Natya Vriksha Dance Collective are where we explore broader concepts, from ancient poetry to contemporary social themes. These performances, such as 'Kaavya Katha', 'Sadaaneera', and 'Songs of the Millstone', often blend classical and folk idioms to create a unique visual and emotional experience, all brought to life by a live orchestra.
Solo Recitals: The Art of Abhinaya
My solo performances are a personal journey into the heart of Bharatanatyam. Built on the classic margam repertoire, they are an intimate space for improvisation and abhinaya, where I can explore everything from the mischief of Krishna to the profound poetry of Kalidasa. Each recital is a unique conversation with the audience, brought to life by my incredible live orchestra.
The Live Orchestra: Heartbeat of the Recital
I do not perform without my musicians. The live orchestra is not just an accompaniment; it is the very heartbeat of my dance. The symbiotic relationship between the dancer and the musicians, the spontaneous interplay between rhythm and movement, and the shared energy on stage create an experience that is truly alive and irreplaceable.
Behind the Scenes: The Practice and The Process
A performance is the beautiful culmination of countless hours of unseen work. The rehearsal studio is our sanctuary, a space for practice (riyaaz), creation, and collaboration. This collection offers a glimpse into the dedication, the challenges, and the joyful chaos that happens behind the curtain before the dancer steps into the spotlight.
Accolades & Media Recognition
I am humbled and grateful for the recognition my work has received over the years, including the Padma Shri and the Nritya Choodamani. These accolades and media features are not just personal milestones, but a validation of the artistic path I have chosen and the rich tradition of Bharatanatyam that I am privileged to serve.
Event Announcements
This is a collection of posters and announcements from my performances across the country. I have had the privilege of dancing at major festivals, university auditoriums, and heritage sites, and each venue offers a unique opportunity to connect with rasikas. This gallery serves as a record of my artistic journey and collaborations.
Miscellaneous
A collection of cherished memories and moments from my long journey in dance. This includes a throwback to my early days as a performer and other images that hold a special place in my heart.
