Artistic Direction: Fusing Dance, Music & Visual Arts

I love directing productions that bring different art forms together on one stage. Projects like 'Call of the Flute' are a great example, where I choreograph Kuchipudi dance to interact with live flute music and projected Pichwai paintings, creating a multi-sensory story for the audience.

Poetry in Motion: Dance & Music Dialogues

This is where movement and melody become one. In productions like 'Mandala', I collaborate closely with musicians to interpret the words of saint-poets, creating an intimate dialogue between dance and live vocals on stage. The process involves exploring everything from love and separation to disillusionment and spiritual realization.

Choreographing for Duets & Ensembles

Collaboration is at the heart of my creative process. I choreograph duets and group pieces that explore the interplay between different dancers and styles, such as blending the distinct forms of Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam to find a new, shared language.

Solo Works & Literary Interpretations

My solo performances are often a deep dive into literature and poetry, translating powerful stories into movement. I've adapted works from Tagore's feminist play 'Chitra' to pieces like 'Ananta', which explores the infinite possibilities within dance and ourselves.

Behind the Scenes: The Creative Process

For me, the real art happens in the process, not just the final performance. This is a look at the journey of creation: the rehearsals, the discussions with musicians, the studio practice, and the workshops where ideas are born and refined. It's about embracing the uncertainty and letting the work evolve.

In The Media & My Writings

Here you can find posters from my various productions across India, as well as articles and reviews covering my work. I also occasionally write about my own reflections on dance, love, and the artistic journey, sharing a more personal side of my process.
