Why I Make Pickles & Spice Powders
I started Ammana Mane Oota to keep alive the taste of real home food. The pickles and spice blends I make are honestly just like what my amma (mom) used to make - nothing fancy, just straightforward, full of flavour, and no shortcuts. I still use the same tricks I saw as a kid - slow curing, hand grinding, and waiting for the pickles to mature properly.
Straight From My Kitchen
- Everything’s made by me in my own kitchen, not in some huge factory.
- I use whole spices, roast and grind them myself. No masala powders from packets, no artificial stuff.
- My homemade mango pickle is a yearly ritual, and the traditional sambar powder is what I use at home too.
- You won’t find preservatives or food colours in my jars. What you see is what you get.

My Story
Hi, I’m Sindhu, but here it’s all about Ammana Mane Oota. Used to be a banker, now I’m just happiest in the kitchen, cooking up food that’s got amma’s (mom’s) touch. Everything’s made from scratch – puliogare mix, pickles, biryani masala, you name it. Folks say my food feels like home, and that’s what I want. Winning Suvarna Super Star was wild, but this – sharing honest food – is my real win.
