Behind The Lens: Professional Sports Photography
A sports event is more than just the final score. I capture the full atmosphere, from the quiet anticipation in an empty stadium to the chaos on the sidelines that tells the real story.
The calm before the storm. A dramatic shot of the stadium floodlights as the sun sets, building anticipation for the night's game.
An abstract view of the empty green stadium seats. I look for these graphic compositions that tell a story about the venue itself.
The vibrant yellow seats of the stadium in Gwalior, captured before the crowds arrive. These shots help set the scene for the event.
Even rain can't stop the game. A stadium floodlight cuts through the downpour, an atmospheric shot that captures the challenging conditions of a match.
A candid, behind-the-scenes photo of me checking my camera settings on the field. I am always focused on getting the perfect shot.
Here I am on the court during a break in the action at the Sepaktakraw World Cup. Being on the ground allows me to connect with the event and find the best angles.
A black and white portrait of me on the field during the MPL 2024 in Gwalior. I am comfortable and experienced in working within large stadium environments.

About Behind The Lens
When you hire me, I'm not just a spectator with a camera. I'm on the field from warm-ups to the final handshake, moving constantly to catch the raw energy of the game. Whether it's raining or the floodlights are difficult, I'm still there, finding angles that show the tension and grit that the scoreboard doesn't reveal.
Sports photography is not just about freezing action. It's about being in the right place at the right time. My approach starts long before the game begins. I scout the stadium, find the best vantage points, and track the light. Whether I am shooting at the ISTAF World Cup or a local match in Kanpur, my goal is to give you images that feel alive.
My Gear and Process
I rely on my Sony A7IV paired with a 70-200mm f/2.8 GM II lens. This setup lets me get tack-sharp images, even when the stadium lighting is less than ideal. I am not a fan of staged, 'ghisi pitti' portraits. I want the sweat, the focus in an athlete's eyes, and the wild reactions after a goal or a wicket.
