- Hardware: Complete set of M3/M4 screws, nuts, washers, and high-tension rubber bands or springs based on the model.
- Drive System: Includes rack and pinion gears, spur gears, or basic DC motors with AA/AAA battery holders.
Learning & Tools
- Digital Guide: QR code access to hosted step-by-step video assembly instructions.
- Gamification: One physical 'Skill Badge' specific to the physics concept learned (e.g. Gears, Elasticity).
- Assembly Tools: Basic tools like a mini-wrench provided within the box (glue guns not included).
Packaging
- Standard corrugated cardboard box suitable for storage.
Advanced Engineering & Electronics Kits
Advanced Components
- Reinforced Frame: Heavy-duty 3D-printed PLA parts designed to house circuitry or withstand hydraulic pressure.
- Electronics (Model Specific): Functional PCBs, Bluetooth receiver modules, amplifiers, speaker drivers, or high-RPM motors.
- Hydraulics (Model Specific): Medical-grade syringes, vinyl tubing, and connecting valves for fluid power transmission.
- Power Supply: Includes rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery (18650 cell) and charging module for electronic kits.
Curriculum & Accessories
- Deep-Dive Content: Video tutorials explaining underlying scientific principles like Ohm's law or Pascal's principle.

About DIY STEM & Tinkering Kits
I started Tinkernauts because I wanted to give kids something more than just another toy—a reason to get their hands busy, their minds curious, and their confidence growing. When I see a child grab a real screwdriver and figure out how something works, I know they’re learning in a way no screen can offer.
Why Tinkernauts Kits?
- Every kit is packed for real exploration. Kids get actual tools, not cheap plastic lookalikes.
- The projects aren't just for fun (though they're plenty fun) - they're designed so kids can dig into how things work and develop resilience through trial and error.
- All parts are safe, non-toxic, and even biodegradable where possible. No extra runs to the hardware store - you get everything in the box.
What’s Inside?
- Mechanical Marvels like a working catapult or a turbo car teach gears and force.
- Electronic Wonders such as an Art Bot or Bluetooth speaker make circuits real.
- Physics projects like a hydraulic maze or cycloid pattern maker boost curiosity.
Skills That Stick
- Real-world physics concepts, not just theory.
- Problem-solving and patience, especially when things don’t work the first time.
- Kids feel proud and say “I built this!”—that’s the best part.
Messiness and mistakes? Part of the deal. We call failed attempts ‘prototypes’ and believe that’s exactly how inventors get started. If you’re looking for screen-free STEM activities or want your child to build their own science project kit, you’re in the right place.

My Story
Hey, we’re Tinkernauts. This whole thing started at home, me saying 'no' to my own kids way too much. One day it hit—those 'no's were shutting down their curiosity. So, we flipped it. Started saying yes to mess, yes to questions, yes to 'can I try?' We don’t have all the answers, but we want kids to figure things out for themselves. Parents, just making space for curiosity is huge. That’s what we’re about.
My Work
What We Offer - Hands-on DIY kits for kids, small group tinkering sessions in Bangalore, and school programs. All about real tools for kids.
Real Tools, Real Skills - No fake plastic stuff. We give kids real tools, safely. It’s about building confidence and actual skills.
More Than Just Building - It’s not about perfect robots or speakers. It’s about trying, messing up, and that ‘woah, I made this!’ moment.
Who’s It For? - Curious kids, ages 7-13. Great for screen-free STEM activities or gifts that don’t end up forgotten.
Why We Do It - We want kids to see possibility, not waste. Building future makers who love to fix and create.
