Vintage Vibes & Cake Art
Lately, I’m hooked on vintage buttercream cake styles. The piping, the ruffles, those old-school flowers - they just hit different. If you want something with a bit of nostalgia, I’m all in. I also love painting on cakes, like that time I recreated "Starry Night" with buttercream. It’s messy, but so worth it.

Got a wild idea? I’m game. I’ve done football cakes with edible logos, unicorns, Tom & Jerry, and even a fondant camel family for a baby shower. Themed birthday cake requests are my jam, and I’ll try almost anything once.

My Story
Hey, I'm Khadija. The BakeLair is just me, a lot of sugar, and a whole lotta love. Vintage piping cakes have become my thing lately - I lose track of time with that piping bag in hand. Painting a hand-painted buttercream cake, like that crazy Starry Night, is a wild ride but I love it. Every cake I make has a bit of me in it, and a whole lot of you too.
