Messy hands, happy hearts. We create safe, vibrant spaces where your child can explore textures, colors, and the pure joy of learning through touch.

This sensory walk is a fantastic activity for proprioception and tactile development. Children step through bins filled with different textures, from soft sponges to cool water and fine sand, stimulating the nerves in their feet and building body awareness with every step.

We can set up our popular sensory and pretend play experiences for any event. At this party, we brought out a variety of themed bins, including a dinosaur volcano and an ocean-themed station, providing hours of imaginative and uninterrupted play for children of all ages.

A glimpse into the pure joy of messy play at one of our birthday party setups. We had everything from an ice cream-themed sensory table and a car wash station to construction and farm animal bins. It is wonderful to see children so deeply engaged and collaborating as they play.

Our sensory play dates are designed to be a feast for the senses. This setup included a water bead bin for scooping and pouring, a small pool for water play, and a community art project. It is a wonderful way for little ones to socialize and learn together.

We were so excited to introduce our new sandpit. Sand play is a classic for a reason; it allows for endless creativity, from building castles to digging for treasure, while also developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Water play is a favorite at Speel, especially with fun additions like these colorful balls and sea animal toys. Activities like this help children explore concepts like floating and sinking in a hands-on, engaging way.

This activity combines science and sensory play as children use droppers to melt colored ice cubes. It is a great exercise for strengthening the small muscles in their hands, which is essential for future writing skills, all while creating beautiful color-mixing art.

Look at the concentration as the children create fizzy bomb explosions. This simple science experiment is always a thrill, teaching cause and effect in the most colorful and exciting way possible.

Our transport-themed sensory bin lets little builders get to work. By mixing materials to create "cement" and moving it with toy trucks, children engage in imaginative play that mimics real-world activities, enhancing their understanding of how things work.

A toddler explores a water table filled with colorful balls. This gross motor activity encourages reaching, grasping, and transferring objects, all while enjoying the simple fun of splashing in the water.

About Sensory & Messy Play

You will often see us using materials like aquafaba foam, rainbow rice, or cornstarch oobleck. Because toddlers naturally want to taste everything they touch, we exclusively use food-grade, taste-safe ingredients in every sensory bin. This means you can let your little explorer get fully immersed in the experience without having to worry.

Why Messy Play Matters

Sensory play is the foundation of early learning. When children manipulate materials like sand, water, or play-clay, they are doing much more than just having fun. They are building fine motor skills, strengthening the muscles in their hands for future writing, and developing proprioception—the awareness of where their body is in space.

Our Approach in Banashankari

We don't just put out toys and walk away. Our sessions at our Banashankari center are intentional. We set up stations that challenge your child to solve problems, like figuring out how to scoop rice without spilling or how to mix colors using droppers. We focus on:

  • Wet Play: Tubs with soapy foam, colored water, and melting ice blocks to explore temperature and viscosity.
  • Dry Play: Rainbow-dyed rice, kinetic sand, and beans for texture exploration and pouring practice.
  • Creative Art: Finger painting and messy crafting to encourage self-expression.

Making it Work for You

We know that sensory play can get messy, and that is exactly the point. Parents join in for our toddler sessions, which serves two purposes: it makes your child feel secure enough to try new things, and it gives you a chance to see firsthand how these simple activities boost their confidence. If you are looking for a place where your toddler can experiment, get dirty, and socialize in a controlled, hygienic environment, this is it. We keep our batch sizes small to ensure every child gets the attention they need, so please check with us regarding current availability.

We are Speel, a team obsessed with letting kids get their hands dirty. We started our Banashankari space because we believe children learn best when they can touch, splash, and experiment with everything around them.
