About Indian Classical Dance Classes
Why We Dance
At Rhythms Group, Indian classical dance is more than just steps and music. It’s a tradition we’ve lived for almost 25 years in Bhandup. Humare liye, dance means discipline, stories, and keeping our heritage alive. We’re here to share that with anyone who wants to learn.
What You’ll Learn
Our classes cover Bharatanatyam and Kathak, with batches for both kids and adults. Beginners are totally welcome - koi bhi aa sakta hai (anyone can join). We start with basics, like adavus in Bharatanatyam and tatkar in Kathak, then build up to more advanced stuff. If you’re curious about Odissi or Kuchipudi, we connect you with maestros for authentic guidance.
How We Teach
We stick to the Guru-Shishya tradition, mixing theory and practice. You’ll learn not just the moves, but also the meaning behind them - shlokas, culture, and all. Classes happen in our studio, and we prep you for certified Indian dance training through exams like Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. It’s structured, but not stiff.
Beyond Classes
You get chances to perform at events like Saraswati Pooja, and we run online competitions for extra exposure. Our students have even made it to big newspapers. If you want to dance, grow, and maybe shine a little, you’ll find your space here.
