I look at parenting as a journey of self-growth, not just raising kids. For me, it's about working on my own awareness and discipline, knowing that kids learn more from what we do than what we say.

How I Work

  • I use yogic parenting tools that fit easily into real family life - nothing fancy, just everyday habits.
  • My focus is on parent's self-practice (sadhana), because calm inside shows up outside.
  • It’s about gentle, playful ways for young kids - games, stories, even a bit of mantra chanting. No force, no perfection needed.
  • Around age 8, we can start simple yoga like Surya Namaskar, easy breathing, and focus-building exercises.

What I Bring to Families

  • For teens, I guide emotional regulation for parents and children with specific yoga and breathwork.
  • We use sacred sounds and stories (from Gita, Mahabharata) as tools for self-understanding, not as boring lessons.
  • I encourage parent-child mindfulness rituals - like simple chanting or playing traditional games - to build connection and cut down on screen time.

Making Home a Safe Base

  • I help you create a home environment that feels balanced, simple, and rooted in your own values - even with all the outside pressure.
  • We talk about sattvic food, screen moderation, and ways to strengthen the family bond, Indian style.

My Story

I’m Manasa. My journey with yoga started with wanting to know the 'why' behind every practice, not just the 'how.' Did a PhD at S-VYASA, got deep into Sāṅkhya philosophy, and realized yoga is more about living than bending. Being a mom to a teenager, I think a lot about what roots we give our kids. I teach with stories, chantings, not rules—just anchors. Home isn’t a place, it’s a feeling you carry, even when you wander.
