Prepping your dog before baby arrives

If you’re expecting, you need to start early. That’s not just for the dog’s sake - trust me, it saves your sanity too.

• Key cues like “leave it” and “place” get drilled so your dog listens even when your hands are literally full.
• We practice walks with a stroller - minus the baby, so your dog gets the hang of it.
• Setting up safe zones and baby gates means your dog always has a spot to chill when things get hectic.

I run a 2-hour online session - “Preparing Your Dog for a Baby” - where we cover everything, including dog stress after baby arrives.

Living with toddlers and dogs

This is where boundaries are non-negotiable.

• No sitting, pulling, or face-in-face business with the dog.
• Kids learn by copying you, so you have to be on top of it.
• Your dog needs a safe retreat space - no exceptions.

Toileting accidents or barking? Punishment never works. We fix the cause and go easy on the dog. That’s how you build peace.
