About

At ShrotaHouse, Indian classical music isn’t just something we teach, it’s part of who we are. I want kids to feel that magic from the first time they hear a raag or try their hands on a tabla. For us, it’s about creating a family of little music lovers, not just students.

How Our Classes Feel

  • No boring lectures here. Our classes are all about moving, singing, playing, and just soaking in the music.
  • Children get to touch and try real instruments - from tabla to bansuri, even the ghatam if they’re feeling adventurous.
  • I keep things light and joyful. Kids learn through fun, not fear of mistakes.
  • Parents, you’re welcome to jump in too, especially during our special workshops or camps.

What We Explore

  • We dive into Hindustani and Carnatic music. Your child can sing, play sitar, mridangam, violin, or discover something new in our Indian instrument learning workshops.
  • We have a ‘Wonderful Vaadya’ project, where kids get up close with unique instruments like jaltarang and Saraswati veena.

Who Fits Right In

  • Ideal for kids aged 3 to 8, but honestly, anyone curious is welcome.
  • If you want your child to get early childhood Indian music education in a relaxed, happy space, this is for you.

Once a Shrota, always part of the family.

My Story

Music’s been in our bones since childhood—me singing, my brother on tabla, making chaos at home. That joy stuck with me. From IIT Mumbai music talks to swapping raag stories with legends, life’s been a wild ride. ShrotaHouse grew from that love—incubated at IIM Bangalore, now it’s our family. The magic’s real when a toddler hugs me and says, 'I’m your co-founder.' We’re building more than classes, it’s a home for music.

My Work

Musical Experiences for Kids & Families - We offer parent-child Jaltarang camp, Carnatic and Hindustani classes, Wonderful Vaadya Project, and the Color & Learn with Little Bajo activity book.

Our Teaching Style - We don’t just teach notes. It’s stories, instruments, and feeling—making music playful and personal for every child.

Family Bonding Through Music - Sessions are for kids and parents together. Everyone learns, everyone laughs. Even grown-ups find their inner musician.
