I'm Sengottuvel from Thammampatty, Salem. My family has been making wooden sculptures for over a hundred years. For us, it's not just about wood and tools - it's about keeping alive a craft that's part of our roots. Each piece I make carries that old-school Thammampatty touch.

What Sets My Work Apart

• Every sculpture is handcrafted using techniques my ancestors used - nothing machine-made here.
• We hold a GI (Geographical Indication) tag for Thammampatty artisan sculptures. That means you’re getting something truly unique to my region.
• I carve with intention, focusing on the spiritual vibe of each piece.

What I Offer

• Idols of Hindu and Buddhist deities: Ganesha (Nritya Ganapati, Mappillai Ganesha), Saraswati, Murugan, Krishna (Venugopal, with Radha), Lakshmi (including Gajalakshmi), Shiva-Parvati, Balaji, Hanuman, Buddha.
• Mythological and decorative figures: Apsara Devi, mythical creatures like Yaali and Hamsa.
• Finishes: Wax brown for a classic look, vibrant hand-painted, or antique finish if you want that old-world charm.
• Sizes: From small 9.5-inch table pieces to giant 6-foot statues.

Real Talk

You’ll see small imperfections here and there - that’s how you know it’s handmade. Sometimes a piece takes longer if the wood acts stubborn or details are tricky. But I never rush; every statue gets my full attention.
