About
For over 20 years, I’ve tried to make Prayag Montessori feel like a home, not just a school. Every kid walking in gets space to figure out who they are. I’m not here to drill lessons; mostly, I hang back and watch what sparks their curiosity, then nudge them along. The goal? Kids who walk out confident, curious, and ready to do things for themselves.
How We Learn, Day by Day
- Kids choose their own work from shelves filled with hands-on learning materials for preschoolers. Everything’s at their level, from tiny tables to puzzle trays.
- No strict rows or lectures. Children wander, work on the floor with friends, or dive into solo projects.
- I guide, not boss around. My job is spotting when a child’s ready for the next challenge.
What Kids Actually Do Here
- Loads of practical life activities for kids: pouring, buttoning, making Bhel Puri or fruit pizzas (yep, fireless cooking is a hit).
- Montessori sensory activities with color tablets and geometric blocks - learning feels like play.
- Math is all about touching and seeing, not just numbers on a board. Tools like the Addition Strip Board make it real.
- Art, yoga, festival crafts, and outdoor play are baked into our days.
A Real Community Vibe
- Mixed-age Montessori classroom means littler ones learn from older kids, and everyone gets to be both helper and learner.
- We celebrate everything from Friendship Day to Holi, and even throw slumber parties for our oldest kids.
- Parents aren’t just dropping off - you’re invited in for open houses and the first-day experience.
Ages 2 to 6, all backgrounds, all personalities - everyone has a place here. I’m not promising perfection, but this is a place where kids can be themselves and grow.
