I’m Manju Acharya, more of a wildlife buff than a typical photographer. I chase moments, not just pictures. Every print I offer is straight from the forests I call home - Kabini, Bandipur, Nagarahole, and sometimes beyond. These aren’t just pretty frames, they’re real stories from the jungle, sometimes full of drama, sometimes just quiet.

Wild Characters & Their Stories

• Big cats: Tigers with that stare, leopards sneaking through grass. I track their stories, especially the famous ones like Kabini’s Back Water Female.
• Elephants: Misty silhouettes, playful calves, huge herds crossing a river.
• The rest: Chital in the fog, massive gaur, sloth bears in fig trees, dholes just chilling.
• Birds of prey: Eagles mid-flight, owls hunting, falcons watching. Sometimes, just a duck with her brood.

Not Just Close-Ups

I love habitat shots - they show animals as part of their world. The ghostly stag in Pilibhit mist, lone tiger on a jungle road, elephants fading into the morning fog. It’s about scale, mood, and place.

Why I Do This

Wildlife photography for me is about sharing what matters. I co-founded a conservation initiative with other artists. If you hang my print, you’re part of the story. It’s also about patience… sometimes I come home not even sure the shot worked. But that’s the wild, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
