We let kids choose their work, learn by doing real-life tasks, and grow together in mixed-age classrooms where independence comes first.

About

I stick to the simple idea - let the child show the way. At our place, kids aren’t just told what to do. I watch, listen, and trust them to figure things out. The space is calm, neat, and feels like theirs, not mine. Sometimes, I ask parents straight - is your child not able, or are you not letting them? I want these little ones to say, “Naanu maadabahudu” (I can do it).

Where Kids Feel at Home

The classroom is made for children, not for adults or rules. Here’s how it works:

  • Kids pick their own spot, maybe on a rug or their favourite chowki.
  • Different ages mix together - older ones guide, younger ones look up and learn.
  • Montessori sensorial materials and other stuff are kept low so little hands can reach, choose and put back.
  • My job is mostly to help, not to lecture. I speak softly and let the work happen.

Learning by Doing

Everything is hands-on. I don’t believe in only books. Kids here:

  • Try real-life tasks - cutting fruit, cleaning, watering plants. It’s all about independence.
  • Use their senses to learn - feeling, smelling, guessing veggies in Kannada sometimes.
  • Start writing before reading, chat, tell stories, and enjoy Kannada class.
  • For math, they touch, move, and see numbers come alive.
  • Dive into culture - grow veggies, play with puzzle maps, watch our volcano model erupt.

Growing Up Together

I have three programs:

  • Toddlers (1.5-2.5 yrs): All about moving and “naan self maadbeku” (I want to do it myself).
  • Primary (3-6 yrs): Full Montessori hands-on activities, mixed-age classroom approach.
  • Elementary (Grades 1-3): New and buzzing - more stories, experiments, and exploring beyond textbooks.

Beyond Lessons

We step outside to learn too:

  • Go on field trips, meet musicians, or see how chocolates are made.
  • Celebrate Onam, Dussehra, Christmas - kids see all cultures and learn “unity in diversity”.
  • Hear stories from police, army, and other real-life heroes.

My Story

We’re Kriya Global Montessori. Our place? Not just a school, more like a little world where kids get to be curious, messy, and totally themselves. We set up spaces for them to do real stuff—chop fruits, garden, even wait their turn in Kannada class. We don’t rush, we don’t force. We watch, trust, and let learning happen at its own pace. Kids here? They’re respected, free (with some limits!), and they shine.

My Work

Montessori Programs for All Ages - We offer child-led Montessori for toddlers, primary (Casa), and Montessori elementary program for Grades 1-3.

Hands On, Real Life Learning - Kids do practical life activities—cooking, gardening, cleaning—plus sensorial stuff that makes ideas real.

Child Led Learning - We follow the child. Kids pick their work, so learning feels natural, not forced.

Prepared, Calm Environment - Everything’s child-sized and in its place. It’s peaceful, helps focus, and builds independence.

Mixed Age Classrooms - Older kids help younger ones. Feels like a family, everyone learns together.

Building Life Skills - We care about more than books—kids learn patience, self-awareness, and how to be kind.
