About

I focus on what my students can do, not just what I can. When people ask about my academy, I always say, Nanna student work nodi (look at my students’ work). My teaching style is open - I show you everything, no holding back.

What You’ll Learn

  • The 12-day course is for everyone: total beginners or artists wanting to upskill. We start simple, building your confidence even if hairstyling feels kashta (hard) in the beginning.
  • Solid basics: sectioning, prepping, product use - the foundation of any good style.
  • Curls, waves, braids: learn to make curls last all day, do messy or traditional South Indian bridal braids, and handle any hair texture.
  • Buns & updos: floral buns, rose buns, my own puff styles, and hands-on bridal updo training.
  • South Indian bridal hair techniques: fixing chavli (extensions), kuchu (tassels), and traditional accessories.

Saree Draping Masterclass

  • One-day saree pleating workshop for all skill levels.
  • My own South Indian bridal draping style, pluffy pleating, measurement tricks, and tips for a neat finish.

Career Boost

  • You get a professional hairstyling certification, a portfolio shoot, and an internship chance.

I believe practice is everything - Enu ಗೊತ್ತಾ (you know?), you’ll work on real models from day one. My goal is for you to leave saying, Nanage idu baruttide (I can do this). For anyone who’s heard Nin kaiyalli enu agalla (you can’t do anything), let’s prove them wrong together.

My Story

Started out just wanting to make pretty styles, now I run my own studio and academy. For me, it’s all about helping other women feel confident. Had a client once, she said 'chennagilla ansodu' (felt it’s not nice) after a bad saree draping. We took our time, gave her a look she loved. My students, from Udupi, Hassan, everywhere – some scared to even hold a curler. Now they do bookings with pride. South Indian culture, those intricate braids and beautiful sarees of Namma Bangalore, that’s what I live for. Once my student, forever family.

My Work

Bridal hairstyling & saree draping - I do South Indian bridal hairstyles, intricate braid styling, and signature saree draping for weddings.

Bhavya Achar Hair Academy - I teach hands-on courses in hairstyling and saree draping, starting from basics to advanced techniques.

Teaching style - I show every technique I know, no secrets. Bereyavaru adre hide madtare (others might hide), I don’t.

For brides & students - I want you to feel confident. My students leave ready for bookings, brides leave smiling.
