About

I started Fine Arts Gurukul to help kids find their own spark through art. This isn’t just about drawing neat lines or painting pretty pictures. Here, your child gets to explore, imagine, and express, building a real foundation in visual arts and a bit of life wisdom along the way.

What Makes Our Classes Different

  • We follow the old-school ‘Gurukul’ vibe - learning here is sacred. I stick to our expert-designed curriculum and don’t tweak it for every request. Trust the process.
  • No competitions. No pressure. The focus is on enjoying the journey, not winning medals. Each child’s creative path is unique, and that’s what matters.
  • Every session starts with an invocation. I bring in values like “kalabeda, kolabeda, husiya nudiyalu beda” (don’t steal, don’t harm, don’t lie). Purity in art, purity in heart.

What Kids Actually Do Here

  • Creative drawing classes for kids with paints, watercolors, and more.
  • Children’s sketching workshops - and yes, I ask them not to erase their ‘mistakes’. Those lines are part of the story.
  • Kids art and craft sessions, once a month, for hands-on fun like Diwali decor or clay modeling.
  • Sometimes, we take art outdoors - because life and art are linked.

Structure & Programs

  • Regular batches on weekdays and weekends
  • Choose a slot that works, morning or evening
  • Special camps in the summer and other seasons

Here, art isn’t about being perfect. It’s about growing, exploring, and finding joy in every creation. For us, every drawing is “ee roopam krishnarpanam” (this form is an offering to the divine).

My Story

Namaskara! We’re Fine Arts Gurukul, not your regular art school. Since 2011, we’ve been making art a sadhana - a practice, not just a hobby. Festivals? We celebrate with paint, rangoli, and heart. We love Kalamkari and Gond, keeping those Indian art forms alive. Our guru Kamath ji says, ‘jo bhi galat rekhayein hain rehne dijiye’ (let the wrong lines be). That’s us - trusting the process, finding joy in every messy sketch. Classes start with an invocation, and you’ll always find a calm vibe here.

My Work

Our Art Courses - We teach Diploma in Fine Arts, advanced sketching lessons, painting, and traditional Indian folk art like Kalamkari.

Gurukul System - We follow the modern gurukul art classes style—discipline, values, and every session starts with an invocation.

For Adults - Syllabus-based training in painting, anatomy, perspective, and composition. Regular assignments, honest feedback.

Kids’ Creative Space - No competition, just world-class learning. Junior Pencil & Chai lets kids explore art freely.

Community Art - Free outdoor sketching at Cubbon Park. Meet, learn, and get inspired with fellow art lovers.
