En Madtidiya

I run outdoor workshops where kids and parents do hands-on nature play like mud walks, foraging, and simple crafts, all screen-free and focused on sensory learning.

About

I grew up hearing "En madtidiya?" (What are you doing?) as a gentle nudge to get curious and hands-on. That’s the spirit behind these workshops. I’ve seen how much kids (and honestly, grownups too) need a break from screens and a real connection with the earth. So I set up these nature play workshops as a way for you and your little one to slow down and just be, together.

What Happens at Our Workshops

  • Barefoot walks and sensory play with mud, leaves, and twigs—sometimes we end up covered in mud, but that’s part of the fun!
  • Nature hunts where we forage for little treasures like pinecones and bright leaves.
  • Making simple nature-inspired crafts—think flower bracelets, leaf crowns, and even painting with colours we squeeze out of petals.
  • Each session is a parent-child outdoor activity, perfect for ages 2 to 7.

What Makes These Special

  • Everything is screen-free and hands-on.
  • Sensory play with natural materials sparks creativity and builds motor skills.
  • Mud play and fresh air help with grounding and can even boost immunity.
  • Every workshop is a chance to make memories and see your child light up with wonder.

Where You’ll Find Us

We’re usually in green spots like Cubbon Park or sometimes team up with preschools around Bangalore. Sessions run about 1.5 to 2 hours—just enough to tire out tiny explorers (and sometimes their parents too).

If you’re looking to swap screen time for real play, and want to share some laughs, a bit of mess, and a lot of discovery, this is for you.

My Story

People always ask why I named this 'En Madtidiya'. Well, every time I raided my mom’s kitchen for my dyeing experiments, she’d go, 'En madtidiya?' (What are you doing?). That stuck! My workshops are all about that same playful curiosity I had as a kid, climbing trees with my thatha (granddad). Making art, especially colouring, helps me unwind when life gets too much. I just want to share that joy and calm with others.

My Work

Workshops for All Ages - I run natural dyeing workshops, flower pounding art, block printing, handmade papermaking classes, and mindful nature play for kids, adults, families, and even office teams.

Learn by Doing - We get messy! You’ll use flowers, leaves, and old paper to create, not just watch or read.

Nature is Our Classroom - We’re mostly outdoors, using whatever nature gives. No fancy skills needed—just show up and try.

A Mindful Escape - Stressed or bored? These sessions are a slow, creative break from screens and routine.
