About

At Courtyard Koota, community isn’t just a word. It’s in our name. This space exists for people who want more than a hall and chairs - for those who want to create, connect, and just hang out with their own tribe. Koota means a gathering, and here, every gathering matters, whether it’s big or super niche.

Spaces That Feel Like Home

  • Indoor stage with lights and sound - best for open mics, comedy, storytelling, or anything that needs a bit of a spotlight.
  • Library corner - for book lovers, board game fans, or anyone wanting a chill place for a small creative event venue vibe.
  • Outdoor courtyard - breezy, casual, and loved for workshops, talks, and food club potlucks.

Who Finds a Home Here

  • Foodies gather for our famous potlucks and local food stories.
  • Comics and comedy fans try their stuff at open mics.
  • Bookworms, jigsaw puzzle folks, and board gamers use our library for local hobby group meetups.
  • Eco-warriors run organic gardening sessions and green art.
  • Artists and makers host everything from Shibori workshops to quirky art jams.
  • Families and kids light up the place with music, crafts, and the annual Makkala Masti Habba.

My Story

Hey, Courtyard Koota here. We didn’t just put up walls and call it a day. This place grew from a wild idea - a space for stories, art, and folks just wanting to connect. Natasha kicked things off, Sridevi keeps the vibe alive, Nanu’s our in-house everything-guy, and Khushi’s the glue. Seven years in, we’re still a mixed bag, always buzzing. We shape this space, and it shapes us. Makkala Masti for kids, open doors for all. Pull up a chair, there’s room.
