About

We don’t just design buildings - for us, each project is a quest to find its hidden story. Whether it’s a home, a rural school, or a workspace, our focus is always on bringing out the soul of the space by responding to its context and using sustainable building materials in unexpected ways.

How We Work

  • Collaboration is at the heart of everything, from the first sketch to the last brick. Our design journey involves clients, craftspeople, and contractors, making sure every detail is right.
  • We obsess over physical models and on-site mock-ups, testing how spaces feel and how light moves. The best ideas often come from mixing our experience with the knowledge of local artisans.
  • We care about the process as much as the result, and it shows in the way our projects are lived in.

What We Build

  • Homes that feel deeply tied to their land, with walls made from site debris, stone off-cuts, or hand-moulded bricks. We love using jaali screens for light and breeze, and bamboo for airy canopies.
  • Offices and commercial spaces that go beyond just function.
  • Schools and community spaces built on tight budgets, using vernacular construction techniques and local hands, aiming to create genuine impact.

We find real joy when a space we’ve designed brings people together, or when a kid runs through a light-filled living space that once was just an idea. Not everything is easy or perfect, but that’s the beauty of contextual architecture - each project is a new adventure.

My Story

We’re CollectiveProject, a bunch of architects and designers in Bangalore. Collaboration is our jam – with clients, craftsmen, everyone. We get kinda obsessed with materials, like using mud blocks from old debris or hand-moulded bricks. Texture matters, you know? Our best moment? Kids running wild in the rural school we built in Andhra Pradesh with hyper-local stuff. Getting a nod at the World Architecture Festival felt nice, but seeing spaces come alive is why we do this.

My Work

Architecture & Interior Design - We design homes, offices, apartments, and community spaces, always chasing the right feel and function.

Object & Product Design - We create custom lighting and furniture, making sure every piece fits the story of the space.

Obsessed with Materials - Hand-moulded brick, mud block architecture, bamboo – we dig into texture and detail for every project.

Hyper Local & Sustainable - We use local materials and labour, especially for sustainable rural school design and community-rooted builds.

Context Driven Approach - Designs respond to their environment – think bamboo canopy construction or Jaali screens for light and air.
