Step away from the tourist path and into the heart of Nizamuddin Basti. We explore the 700-year-old bond between Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya and Amir Khusrau through narrow lanes, Sufi poetry, and the soulful sounds of qawwali.

Ishq, Mushq aur Mausiki: Love, Fragrance, and Music. This is the essence of our walk through the mystical lanes of Nizamuddin, where Sufi saints and poetic stories breathe through every corner.

"If there is a paradise on earth, it is this." Our Walk Leader recites Amir Khusrau's famous verse as he invites you to explore Nizamuddin Basti, the spiritual soul of Delhi, with us.

"I am tired of everyone, even myself, but never of you." This quote captures the special bond between the Sufi saint Nizamuddin Auliya and his beloved disciple, the poet Amir Khusrau.

We explore the 700-year-old relationship between Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya and his student, Hazrat Amir Khusrau, a bond that has shaped the culture of this place.

Before Teacher's Day even existed, there was this profound teacher-student relationship. Our walk celebrates this timeless bond that continues to inspire.

Amir Khusrau, the legendary poet and inventor of the Tabla, was Nizamuddin Auliya's most devoted mureed (disciple). We visit the sites dedicated to their memory.

According to legend, Nizamuddin Auliya's blessing gave Amir Khusrau his melodious voice, earning him the title 'Tuti-e-Hind' or the Parrot of India. We share these legends on our walk.

Nizamuddin once declared, "Khusrau is the keeper of my secrets. I shall not set foot in paradise without him." This shows the depth of their spiritual connection.

When Nizamuddin passed away, a grief-stricken Khusrau mourned at his master's grave and passed away within six months, forever remembered as a shared legend.

A story of how Amir Khusrau became the 'Parrot of Hindustan'. Legends say his master's blessing made his words sweeter, a tale we narrate in the very lanes where it happened.

About Nizamuddin: Sufi Stories & Qawwali Nights

You do not just visit the Dargah here. You walk the same paths where Khusrau once wrote his poetry. Our groups are kept intentionally small, which means you actually hear the stories instead of jostling through a crowd. Whether it is finding the quiet corners of the Basti or catching a live qawwali session, we help you connect with the spiritual vibe of old Delhi.
